I suggest that the Morgan's biggest problem wasn't its breed, but rather
its color: BLACK. I've done CTR with several of my Peruvians, and the
greys and chestnuts manage recoveries comparable to the arabians, but my
black gelding always had a struggle to meet his recoveries. And I've
noticed that there aren't a whole lot of very dark arabians competing, The
Black Stallion notwithstanding . . .
