Hi group -

I was at a ride this weekend, and got back to a LOT of ridecamp
email this morning. Reading all of the posts in one sitting, made
me realize that we're getting a little out of focus again.

When the list first started, I worked really hard at keeping the
posts focused on Endurance, and I think we're slipping a little.
The number of people on the list is growing really fast! and if
we're not careful it's going to become too big to be useful.

So...

Most Important:
1. Stick to endurance - if an ancillary topic comes up and some of
you want to keep discussing it, please go private with it. I don't want
to get off on natural horsemanship topics (for instance) . There are
billions of great things to discuss, but I want Ridecamp to be only
for pertinent endurance and distance riding topics.

2. Refrain from 'me too' posts. Or do them privately.

3. Use the archives (http://www.endurance.net/RideCamp) - there is
a wealth of information there from previous posts.

4. Be nice. This is really a pleasant, civil, group - I don't think there's
a problem with flaming or ranting, or nasty stuff, but it's always a
good idea to keep this in mind.

5. Be aware of personal damage that can be done - this is a very
powerful forum - when you post a message, it's heard around the
world. Please refrain from remarks that may damage individuals.
Some of the recent TrailBlazer posts are making me a bit nervous,
as they could be construed as libel . These remarks would not
be printable in a traditional medium.

I think that's about it....

If any of you have questions or concerns, let me know.
