saddle fit question

I read everything in the archives, on-line, etc. about the saddle fitting
issues. Beth at Atlanta Saddlery shipped me 3 saddles til we found the
"fit" -- 18" inch seat for me, 32 cm tree for Felix (English style,
obviously). Ended up buying a Stubben Kerry (their endurance model).
Felix moves out better than he has in years, absolutely NO tenderness on
the back, stands for mounting and girthing, ... -- all the signs of a
fitting saddle, right?
Then what about the dry spots? :-( Now, I know that there are many folks
out there who've spent small (& large) fortunes finding the right saddle.
But, accept for the dry spots, everything else points to this saddle
feeling good to the horse. Stubben does recommend a 20 hour breaking in
period -- preferably without any pad -- so that the wool will conform to
the horse's back. Could the dry spots be due to that? The dry areas are
becoming smaller.
HELP! I'm so confused!!
thanks in advance,
