I ride a barefoot, 17-year-old, never-*ever*-worn-a-shoe-in-his-life,
Crabbet gelding in dressage and on 2-3 hour trail rides (3 days a week,
on average). He's fine on the local trails, which are generally sandy or
hard, packed dirt, but I'd like to be able to take him to different
places--which may include very rocky terrain. I was wondering if 4
easyboots would be a good investment, as there's no need to shoe him. I
just want to protect his normally hard hooves from occasional,
potentially excessive wear. And easyboots would sure be cheaper than
horseshoes every 8 weeks!
