Truman,
I've been riding big chunks of the OD trail these past several weeks
(including the Double Dipper 57 three weeks ago) and I believe you can
look forward to many improvements. The OD club has rented a bulldozer
to actually scrape tons of rocks and deadfall off the trail on the
sections you described. A lot of trail that was misery is now
race-horse country, or at least trot-along-at-a-nice-pace country.
Members are working furiously to tidy up portions of the trail as we
speak (including some nasty sucky "yellow springs"), so it may not be
perfect, but I think you'll find it *much* improved. And, as Bonnie
noted, we have enjoyed an unseasonably cool spring. We are
collectively praying that this weather holds out one more week!
