I, too, have one of "those" mares. In fact, people respond that she's just
like me!! Hmmmm???

A few weekends ago, I was adjusting her saddle, but hadn't loosened the
girth to her satisfaction, so she did what she normally does...turned her
head and bit "at" me. Only this time, I was standing closer than she
thought and she got me. You should have seen her eyes--they were huge!
She knew she was in for it. I smacked her, then laughed as I rubbed my
thigh and the bruise developed. I knew I couldn't let her get away with
it, but I also knew why she did it.

Under saddle though, she's great. I wouldn't trade her for anything!!
