I'm selling my Arab gelding - OMR Kalligraphy.
He is a tremendous horse - but I have an opportunity to
buy an Orlov/Arab mare which I can't pass up - I've become
an avid Orlov fan and she has the bloodlines that I want.
Sooo....

Kalli will be 8 yrs in April. He is bay, 15.2 (honest), very
striking, classic Arabian head. Excellent bone. Resting
heart rate is 27. His recoveries are incredible. Great feet.
He is sweepstakes nominated. Was trained for the track
but failed at his first race (there's a video of him
trying to dodge the mud being flung by the front
runners :). Linda and Dennis Tribby bought him
as a 4 year old. They conditioned him for two years and
entered him in 50's as a 5 yr old, 75's and 50's as a 6 yr
old. All were top tens, a couple wins in the 50's. I bought
him as a 7 yr old but didn't have much opportunity to ride
him because of a knee injury early in the '96 season. He was
ridden some by others and did a few top-10 50's. No serious
training or competing during 96. He has 800 total AERC miles.

He is an exceptionally pleasant horse - very loving, loves
to go (I've never had to encourage him) but is never pushy
and will always do what is asked of him. He is one of the
most footsure horses I've ever had. He's truly a wonderful
horse - he's very 'cuddly' and could really bond to the right
person. Very kind and sensitive horse. Everyone that has been
around him loves him.

He has no vices. He requires a dedicated feeding program to
keep weight on him. Does well with rice bran and corn oil
supplementation. Legs are in great shape - he has a splint
on a foreleg, but it's never been a problem. I had the leg
x-rayed and it was clean. He's never had any filling or swelling
even after a tough ride. Easy to shoe, clip. Easy to haul.
He hasn't been ridden yet this year, but I'm getting ready
to put some training miles on him. Will take him to the Renegade ride
in New Mexico March 24-28 as a backup horse, plus my husband
will ride him around camp during the week. So he'll get a little
work then.

Good home is an absolute must. I have pictures. Plus there
is a picture of me riding him at
http://www.endurance.net/ArtGallery/Art23/?Template=ShowOneImage

I'm asking $5000.

He is at my place in the North West - northern Idaho. I may
take him down to central Oregon in April and leave him with
the Tribbys. He'll be at the New Mexico ride in March if anyone
wants to look at him then.
