Oh no, this sounds very much like a variation of the Greg Sheergold story. It
doesn't seem very likely somebody would be more generous, because their
mailserver got filled up with useless mail.
If you don't have the information first hand, I suggest you buy a book
yourself, or even better, donate an amount to your local hospital, most likely
they could use it more wisely.
