Tell that to Paolo Gucci's starved herd....
In my experience as a DVM, I find that income has relatively little to do
with quality of care received. Often, the low budget horse owner takes
better care of her/his horse, knowing that if it dies or is rendered
permanently unsound, the wherewithal to replace it will not be easy to come
by.OTOH, some affluent owners seem to have no more regard for their horses
than they do their tennis rackets. They are merely sporting goods.
Stll, I agree with Teddy to the extent that people who want to buy a
$1000 horse in $50 installments are probably in no position to deal with
unforseen problems involving $$$--like a moderately severe colic or a bad
laceration.
