I think, and would hope, that Truman means that it is unfair to train on
"nutrients" and then withdrawn them from the very substance that helps them
when they are going to be asked to work their hardest...or perhaps, if that
horse NEEDS these "nutrients" he should compete at all.

In the first case, I agree with Truman, in the second case, I disagree. We
ARE asking these horses to do more than Mother Nature intended, therefore we,
in my opinion, MUST enhance them physiologically..since they cannot do it one
their own.
