Valerie is involved in both the administration of the Virginia Trail
Conservatory, Inc. producers of the event, as well as the management of the
Cosequin Challenge itself.
Although AERC rules evidently allow Val to compete, she had "unofficially"
indicated to me that she would not participate in the 1997 event as a
competitor. I see no reason for her not to compete but all indications thus
far is she will not, however, we should all wait for an official response
from Val concerning this point.
Danielle has never been approached concerning any facet of the VTC nor the
Cosequin Challenge, I do not know if she is even aware of the event. Should
she elect to enter there would surely be nothing inappropriate in that as far
as I am aware. If anyone has any knowledge of an AERC rule that may be in
question with regard to the daughter of someone in a management position of
either/both the event or its' producers competing in the event you are
welcome to bring it to my attentiion so it can be addressed now.
