Although it is easy to reproduce articles, it is illegal based on current
U.S. copyright laws. There have already been several cases in the court
system where an article put on a bulletin board (which is much more open
than a private mailing list) was reproduced on the internet without the
consent of the original author. The author won. There are lengthy
discussions of this issue elsewhere. I won't repeat the arguments here
(not the correct forum). Check out some of the FAQ lists and legal
lists.

Be warned. If you copy without the permission of the author, you may
be liable for copyright violation.
