I am familiar with a horse that is narcoleptic. She will crash when
she is being groomed or is standing around tacked while her owner and
chit chats (not mounted). Her eyes close, she drops her head a little
then boom! Owner refuses to admit that the mare has anything wrong
with her so she has not been "diagnosed" or treated. Have never seen
it happen when the horse is moving or attentive to something. Sorry I
can't tell you anything about treatments but it may not be something
you "need" to treat.
