I have been following the HR-lactate discussion with great interest. During
the many questions and answers I have obtained a fairly painless education
about some very complex metabolic processes. The discussion was made even
more enjoyable because it seemed to be more or less free of oversensitive
egos. Therefore I was shocked and upset to learn that Susan Evans and, for
all I know, Tom Ivers, apparently is being dumped on in private. I am
concerned that if people continue to do this we will lose yet another source
of very valuable knowledge. You all know how long it takes to think out and
type even the simplest thoughts. I am truly amazed at how much time and
effort both Susan and Tom have devoted, for free, to this list.
Let's just fold up the old egos, show appreciation and be grateful for having
this priceless forum.
