I've been riding recently in the Parelli Riding Hackamore.
It is fairly soft, the NH type of halter, with a soft rope
rein and lead. ( 22 ft mecate set up, tied to the halter)

I don't think it's going to rub my horse even on long
rides. And I can tie the reins up out of the way and
even use it when trailering. Pretty handy.
