Er... TB's can't buck. I mean *really* let out a buck like a QH can.
Mine is stocky for a TB, but his feet always end up going back. He
doesn't get his butt in the air like a QH can. And, it's only one
foot kicking back, not both at the same time. I have a great video
of him... his yearling sale video... where he's being chased around
a paddock to Nutcracker music. He's out there playing, they're
trying to get him to run and show form... which he does at one
point... switching leads effortlessly 3 times in a row. Anyways,
he also gets into this bucking phase and the poor guy just can't
do it. However, ducking out from under your seat in a hundredth
of a second is a different story... sort of like going "hyperspace".
[asteroids anyone? ... or "I thought I had brought a *horse* with
me on this ride"...]
So... if you have a TB, ride out the "buck" 'cuz you aint seen nothin'
yet! If you don't ride a TB, take the advice... it's good... but don't
necessarily expect to stay on.
Just another great reason to ride a TB.

... and Magnum the TB who still acts like that at 15.
