Yesterday, Helen Harvey and I rode at Coe Park in Gilroy. It was
fabulously beatiful. It was clear enough in the central valley to see
across to the Sierra's.
Anyways, we trotted up a fairly long hill - about 2000 - 2200 ft climb
over approx 2-3 miles. Porter's heart rate was a steady 110 the whole
way up. When we slowed from a trot to a walk, his heart rate jumped
up to 140, then slowly came down to 80 or so over a few minutes. Is
this normal? I would think his heart rate would come down when we
slowed rather than spike up.
I look forward to everyone comments.
