Spirit was a DreamWorks production.

(not an encyclopedia--I just spend afternoons at the trailer house 
that happened to have produced the Spirit marketing campaign, as 
their IT geek.  Imagine hearing horse noises coming out of 3 editing 
bays at the same time, it was rather disconcerting.

DreamWorks did a great job from the realism standpoint IMO.
