[RC] proposed changes in 3 day events sanctioning - Michael Maul
For those who have not looked at the proposed motion on requiring 3 day
rides to have special sanctioning - if passed - it will provide better
coordination of rides across the country. Multidays draw on a larger
distance from the ride so that's one of the reasons.
But it will mean that the ride must be submitted 180 days before - not
just 120 days. - and be approved by the BoD the first 2 years.
One solution proposed to this is that 3 day events would not get Pioneer
points - only events longer than 3 days. Special sanctioning(180 days)
then would only apply to 3+ days - but it would mean no Pioneer points
in the future for regular 3 day events.
Or perhaps those 3 day events that wanted Pioneer status would need
special sanctioning - and those that didn't - would not.
Let your directors know your views.
