We have used shoes on our farm but not alot.
However, the new Rails to Trails has alot of gravel (big chunks) and our
barefoot horses are getting sore. My question is should I put pads on to ride on
all sorts of terrain? Another horseman said that her horses were still sore with
shoes only with some of these trails. I have to schedule the blacksmith today.
Also, do pads all around affect the horses traction? Thanks!
