Re: barefoot question



Thanks,  I was wondering.  I saw Tevis compared to, I think,  the Silver State in these emails somewhere stating the Tevis would be more suitable for barefoot horses and was curious.

None.  They have to be shod per the rules.

Equines: All horses except lactating mares and mares in foal are eligible to
enter the Ride provided they are shod or wearing protective footwear; are at
least 60 months old; are in compliance with the Ride drug and medications
policy; and in the sole opinion of the Ride veterinarian staff, are in fit
condition to compete.
