This is exactly why my husband won't allow me to go to the HORSE auction
anymore.  He wanted to go to the TACK part of the auction last week but I
know me... I couldn't leave without looking at the horses and that leads to
"let's just see what they go for" and that leads to "oh, my God, we have to
save this horse" or "oh, my God, why didn't I save that horse" and I am
ornery for days and days!  Good luck to you.  It's a noble endeavor and
maybe you will end up with a lifetime friend!  :)
