Re: RC: Blankets

There are several good ones on the market.
Personally I love my goretex HIB (horses in black)turn
out blanket. It is waterproof and breathes so your
horse dosn't over heat in it. Here in Tex the weather
changes in a matter of min. I can leave for work at 7
and its 33 degrees and by the afternoon it can get up
in the 60's. with this blanket I have never come home
to a hot sweaty horse or a wet one. They are VERY
PRICEY but well worth the out lay of bucks. I have had
mine for 4 years, no rips or damage yet and my show
gelding was very hard on any horse clothes. Kinda like
a favorite pasttime for him to try to get out of his
clothes any way possible!
What ever you decide on make sure it's waterproof
and not just water resistant. Big difference in
whether or not your horse will stay dry.
