Iodine toxicity
2 to 5 milligrams (mg) per day is the horses daily requirement
for
iodine.
There's about 2.5 mg iodine in 36 grams of iodized
salt, which is about 2 tablespoons of salt ( 2 tablespoons of salt is a little
over an ounce of salt)
The toxic level, from iodized salt, is about 40 mg/day (
fed daily for several months.)
From kelp, the toxic level is 350 mg/day (fed
daily over several months.)
