Not criticism, Marv : a reminder : debate is healthy, petulant foot-stamping
is childish and ineffective.  Address the message, not the messenger and you

I don't understand this statement at all : is it addressed to me, or to
others on the list?  My one-liners are (generally) amusing - or so I'm
told - and if I snipe, I don't run : I hang around for whatever backlash is
to come.

Marv, with all due respect, you posted Ridecamp with your product, made some
comments about training, gave us a link to go and investigate your methods,
and invited response.  It would appear that, because the response was not
100% positive, you are now retracting the invitation.  It's a bit late for
that, don't you think?

This is all terribly amusing, Marv, and has given me the opportunity to
indulge myself in some sarcasm which I was holding in abeyance in my
previous posts to you, in the vain hope that you were serious about
discussing different techniques to train horses, something I find
fascinating.  It is now evident that your initial post was not an invitation
to discussion, but more along the lines of an exercise in
self-aggrandizement.  This is a pity.

I didn't ask you to reinvent the wheel, Marv, nor did I give you a deadline
to answer my post.  However, your personal attacks and egomaniacal
suggestions that those of us unwilling to concede your superiority in all
issues equine has made me wonder just how closely you have followed my posts
to you.

I don't really care whether you are mad or not : I'm quite happy to discuss
this issue with you no matter what your emotional state is, as long as you
demonstrate some ability to stick to the issues at hand and not resort to
petulance.  Personally, I'm in a state of mild amusement at the moment.
This will no doubt be followed by mild irritation at some of the flaming I
will, no doubt, receive for responding to your post in kind, but I'm fairly
certain I'll settle down into extreme indifference fairly quickly.  A good
ride on one of my "unbonded" horses should restore my good mood fairly
quickly.

No, I am not.  I am inviting you to discuss this matter, to explain some of
your statements, and to do so in an adult fashion.  I went private as it was
becoming boring and repetitive because you have failed to address my
questions.  I am now going public because, frankly, your post deserves it.

People on RC are generally pretty good at looking after themselves, Marv,
but if you feel the need, go ahead.
