Horses in California

Attention Southern California Endurance riders!!!!  Can you help me?  Have recently learned that I will probably be transferred to your area with the next few months.  I know NOTHING about your fine state, let alone what I am going to do with my two endurance horses.  Will probably be working in the area of Huntington Beach...have looked at a map....are there horse properties (that I can AFFORD!) in those Canyon areas? Or can you suggest where I may want to look? On the assumption that I probably won't be able to afford anything with acres, can you tell me what I might expect to pay, per horse, for monthly board?  Or better still...give me some names/suggestions?  Would appreciate any help I can get!!!  Will be flying out next month to make some decisions...would like to know where to look.  The horses are a TOP priority!   Thanks so much!!!
