I understand that, Lif.......here in WA State, they've put a$3.00"user's fee"
if you want to do something like walk through (not hike, just walk) or bird
watch in the forests and parks. And the fee is only good from March to
December.
One of the Park officials recently made the comment that "people have to
accept this fee, otherwise we will be losing money." Wait a minute. Aren't
these parks already paid for out of our taxes, which are one of the highest
in the nation, (and we have no state income tax! ((never fear, they're trying
to ram THAT down our throats, too.)).
It's getting scary when you consider that poachers are running rampant in the
parks, ( taking black bear, ginseng, plants, mushrooms, and elk), druggies
are using them to grow pot and cook meth, scumballs are using the forests as
dumps, and the tree companies are cutting everything they can ('it's a dead
tree, see that dead branch??) and the only ones not allowed in the forests
are US.
