That's why I started out asking. I figured that there would be people that
didn't like it. It might actually be helpful to see the names of riders
and horses that fail to complete certain rides when I look at the results
and figure which rides I want to go to. If you get pulled a lot, everybody
is going to know that anyway (in your own region). Now it will just be
obvious to everybody across the country. (or anybody with internet access)

Yes, but if we are going to be publishing more data, then I think we need
to try harder to collect it accurately in all regions. I think some
discretion is in order though - not many riders would like it if EN started
listing the top ten most pulled riders in each region. :^) I am sure
that with the new policy, that to a certain degree, riders will start being
more observant about what is being recorded as their reason for a pull. On
the other hand, unless monitored closely, there might end up being a lot
more RO pulls, which isn't very helpful for learning why horses don't
complete rides.

Well sure, but this is a new change that wasn't being done before most of
us joined. Some people don't like change, they liked things the way they
were. Why did it work previously for the last two or three decades?
Actually, I think I've decided that posting the non completions in EN is a
good thing. That way if there are errors people can correct them. I've
got errors on my horses, but you know what.....I don't care :+). Somehow,
I don't think the horses care either. (and I'll spare everybody the details)
