We do if we want to go from Washington to Oregon.  We had the option of
getting a health certificate or a 'passport'.  It was the same cost for
either one, but the passport is good for 6 mo, vs. 1 mo for the
certificate.  Since our passport will get us into California, I'd expect it
is the same for you as it is for us.

What ride are you going to?

You mean the closest to the ride?  I'd say 2-3 days, or at least that's
what Jennifer likes to do.

About 4-5 weeks is the oldest we'll compete on.  After losing a shoe last
year, I'd rather just pay the farrier more often during ride season.  Our
farrier loves us 8-)  I'd say certainly not more than 6 weeks.
