RE: safe loading in a slant load
Never saw a slant load that DID have a butt bar. Usually they have dividers
instead.

Subject: RC: safe loading in a slant load
Most of the slant load trailers I have seen have a butt bar/chain. You
simply load the horse (w/o going in), attach the butt bar, close the
door and then go around and tie the horse if you prefer. I don't see
what the problem is unless your particular trailer doesn't have a butt
bar. I've only see one that didn't, and it was a cheapie with no rear
tack and the one large door that in my opinion could be a nightmare to
close on a windy day.
If you buy the better made slant load trailers, you'll find them to be
very well configured.
I often haul 2 & 3 horses each weekend and load them by myself without
any problems.
