Re: RC: Going girthless
Going with a loose girth is fine but just be aware of the possible
consequences. My mom broke her pelvis in four places and was laid up for
months because of a loose girth. Granted, she was riding a horse that
was known to spook by turning real hard to the right and when he
spooked, all her weight went in one stirrup and the saddle slipped down
and she fell.
I tend to ride in a loose girth also and feel it is more comfortable on
a horse.
