Re: Re: Loin Rubs!!! Was saddle blankets
I have used Ortho-Flex saddles on a wide range of horses with very different
backs with no problems at all since 1990. I have been wondering what I may
be doing different. The only thing I can think of is the old cowboy who
taught me to saddle horses in 1968, always used a 100% pure wool blanket
next to the horse, no matter what type of pad he used. Since, it has always
worked for me and I dislike trying to figure out how to clean a pad, I have
always had a bunch of wool saddle blankets to keep clean and use under my
pads. When I bought the OF, I continued to use wool blankets, even though
OF didn't suggest that. Perhaps, someone who has had some rubbing with an
OF could try a wool blanket and report back if it helps or doesn't help.
Since mine work for me I'm not about to change.
