Equestrienne?

"My copy of the AERC News has an article about Valerie Kanavy being
AHSA's Equestrian of the Year. And my significant other points out
that it should read "Equestrienne" of the Year.

While I agree that Valerie is certainly an "equestrienne,"  I kind of
like the title being "Equestrian."  If Valerie's title was
Equestrienne, in my mind that implies that there are TWO titles - one
for men and one for women.  This way there is no doubt that she's the
best of them all!
