Hot horses & rope halters
Hi Ya'll,
How about the super dead headed (and hard headed) horse? Sunny likes to
go and all but is very sluggish when asked to slow down or stop. Will the
rope halter method make her more responsive? She's not trying to run off,
she just doesn't like me to mess with her when she's hit her stride. Kinda
Energizer Bunny with no brakes. She gets ticked and starts pushing her
head down and shaking it side to side while paying absolutely no attention
to where she's going. I can stop her, it's just an obnoxious habit.
Riding with extra long reins has helped but she still does it when I ask
her to slow down. (before, she did it ALL the time)
Rachael & Sunny
