RE: squeeky Ortho Flex
My Ortho Flex used to squeak periodically. After much investigation I
figured out that the squeaks were coming from inside the flexible panels. I
Found that I could inject some "Molycote" using a hypo. "Molycote" is a
dispersion of moly sulfide in solvent and when the solvent evaporates it
acts as a dry lube. It is available from dealers in industrial machine shop
supplies. A slightly bigger slit in the leather cover and one could blow
either dry moly or talcum powder between the layers of the panels.
I recently had the saddle updated to the newest system and the squeaks went
away. I hope for ever.
