And as heartless as this may sound, isn't it far better for a horse who
is old, lame, abused or whatever and humans are unwilling or unable to
care for them anymore, to be put out of their misery?  It bothers me
more what happens to them when they are still alive, so perhaps the post
I read earlier about advocating better shipping and slaughter procedures
is the way I would prefer to go.... and, no, you are not stupid (can't
remember who wrote that post!).  This is not endurance related.  Nuff
said!
