I think everyone really wants to help with this large problem, but I fail to see how beef will affect horse meat???  I say keep lobbying our congress and state representitives.  Have a voice where it will count.  Animal activist groups do a lot for this problem as well.  I am always open for options to help these poor creatures, but as Heidi said, until we get the money hungry breeders out of the picture, and breed only when there is a need, this problem will always exist!  God help the horses and other creatures that have to live life that way!
