Use http://thomas.loc.gov to find
bills that are before the US House and
Senate. A word search under Bill
Text will bring the entire bill up.
The Northern Rockies Ecosystem Protection
Act of 1999 (H.R.488) is sponsored by
congressmen from New York, Ohio, New
Jersey & California, and will effect
Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington,
and Wyoming.
Also of interest, the Black Canyon
National Park and Gunnison Gorge
National Conservation Act of 1999.
The Denver Rocky Mountain News of
Fec 17, 1999 reported that Diane
DeGette (D) was presenting a bill that
would designate 1.4 million acres of
federal land in Colorado as wilderness.
