Yep, that's it, but it was probably passed on innocently - thats how those
things work. I don't ever open any exe files unless I have specifically
requested them. Attachments I view in quick view under Outlook Express
(which does not open them, but displays their content - for an exe file it
displays a lot of information , but more important flags it clearly as exe
if I didn't catch that before viewing). That means I right click and use
quickview as oppose to left clicking and actually opening the attachment.
For those concerned, if you did not open the attachment, but did open the
e-mail (which was blank), you did not pick up the worm. If you did open the
attachment, there is information on removal at
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/happy99.worm.html.
