I had a Catahoula for many years -- I was told the breed was developed
for heading Longhorn cattle in Texas and Louisiana. They work by heading
the stock until the herd chases them in the desired direction. I'll
never forget the day Lollipop neatly distracted a herd of horses away so
I could catch my horse. He was quite talented when he wasn't barking
goofily or rolling in dead things!

Dogless at the moment and hoping that condition won't last too much
