Bev,

With my horses, you wouldn't try to syringe the lasagna!  Just pretend
that you want to eat it in their presence.  It will disappear fast
enough.  (BTW - They DO eat meat - ham & cheese when they can snatch
it.)

BTW - Nursing homes will puree' pasta & sauces for folks with
chewing/swallowing problem.  It looks like s**t, but tastes the same. 
An idea?  Would you have to change the horse's name to Garfield?

I can just imagine explaining to my family that the tray of lasagna I
just made was for the horse.  They'd know that I had really flipped!
