eating on rides...



I think that there may be differences in each horses personality that can
make them want to go back out on the trail - whether it is excitement,
liking to go, herd bound...

My personal experience is the faster the pace - the less interest 
in eating at vetchecks - and slower the pace - the better they eat.
My experiences have been that they eat better on 100s where my pace 
is much slower than the 50s.

and also that after 80 miles - they really want to eat a lot...
