Howard, perhaps you'd like to tell my horses that? They'd rather
eat. Have you seen the pic in Steph's calendar - the one where my horse
has his head down eating? That was taken at the start of the ride. He did
finish in the front that day - in a prearranged finish.....he may be
competitive, but if given the choice he'd eat. And Rocky is even worse,
stubborn as a mule he is - you just try convincing him at mile 95+ that
really, if you just go a few more miles you can eat all you want.....
