Splints
Hi all
I have a young horse (6 years) that popped a splint just below the knee on
the outside of a front leg. The splint was treated and the horse rested for
6 months. My question is, would using a protective boot (sport medicine
boot) support the leg additionally to stop any further splint problems or
would the splint be unlikely to reoccur without the boot anyway. Also if I
used a boot would the heat buildup override the support aspect.
Thanks
Celeste (from South Africa)
Mawlud (whats a splint?)
Shadixx (its what mom need for her leg when we throw her off!)
