come off the trail with sufficient adrenalin to mask
lameness and probably general tiredness as well, so if
they are presented to the vet right after meeting criteria
and have a problem, especially one that is not yet severe
they will not show it. Any opinions on the time frame at
which the median horse will have come off the "trail high"
and present a truer picture of their fitness to the vet?
Should there be a recommended wait before horses are
presented to the vet for mid-ride checks. >>
I'm convinced of that, Teresa. And am glad to see it becoming more popular
to check the horses later. I like to see them toward the end of ANY hold.
