Yeah, I'm real good at mixing it. ;^)
Still haven't figured out what to do with it afterwards tho <G>. Like you,
I've made concrete a few times (errrrr.....mortar?). The worst is when
it's cold, you just can't get it out, and like you said - you can't just
mix it on the fly. If you make is really thin then you're defeating the
purpose - it's hard enough to get 2 oz. into one syringe. Mix it the same
one time and it's perfect, another time.....and it's mortar <shrug>.
The reason why I started using Carbo Charge is because my horses aren't
really big on eating grain during a ride. They both prefer hay. They love
LMF at home but won't touch it during a ride - night before and night after
it's fine but not during. During a ride they will nibble at this and that
(usually COB mixed with bran or Complete Advantage), but they always want
hay. I do think it helps them especially when you're doing a difficult
mountainous ride and sometimes go hours between checks.....but then I'm one
of those people who think that to Finish is to Win means something. Riding
a successful season is a lot more important than any one ride.
Happy Trails,
Karen
