I think such guidelines are becoming more the norm. As with all new things,
at one point the CRI was looked upon by some as THE tool that would put all
others out the window, and this hasn't proven to be the case. But--it does
provide valuable information, and I think vets and riders both are beginning
to realize that it is exactly as you state above.
