Again, despite the name, volatile fatty acids are NOT the same as "burning
fat." While the continued low doses of carb may well have their place, the
horse that is NOT producing goodly amounts of VFA's from the gut is not going
to do well at this sport. The production of VFA's is a real-time source of
energy, and should not be confused with getting into fat reserves.
