Re: trucks
I can't tell you all the specifics, because I don't know them, but
here's my 1/2 cent on the truck thing. (By the way, I too, will
hopefully be truck shopping sometime in the future, so I enjoy these
discussions greatly).
My Dad bought a 97/98? Chevy 4x4 4-door diesel truck. We haul cows in
a 25 foot stock trailer. Road conditions are not always the best,
having a farm that's only road in or out is 5 miles of Alabama clay.
Within 6 months something was wrong with the truck, and eventually
they replaced the entire engine. 3 months from then, they again
replaced the engine with yet another one. Since then, as far as I
know, the truck has been fine. It is incredibly comfortable to ride
in (having four doors and a real seat is a treat for a girl who grew
up squished 4 abreast in the cab of the truck as we sloshed through
the mud - not to mention push button 4wd, no more getting out in above
mud to lock the wheels in), and it hauls well when it works. But my
Dad is now swearing he's trading it in for a Dodge or a Ford...
For what it's worth...
