I would get 4x4, but that depends on where you live.  I've seen hills and
goopy footing that you won't make it up without a 4x4, and some that a 2wd
would go up, but it would have to fight and that bounces horses around,
which I prefer not to do if I can help it.

I see that palmnet is out of Florida, so hills won't be an issue (nor will
snow), but if you ever manage to get yourself stuck in the sand with a
trailer, the extra $$ for the 4x4 will seem cheap at twice the price!
